I have been performing voice talent at some level since I was in High School in ’80s North Texas, starting with a local ensemble of fellow students we lovingly (and jokingly) named ‘The American BAG (British Actors Group)’ after our infatuation with the BBC humor and radio dramas of the period. I have carried the nickname of ‘Ford’ ever since.
A pursuit in Radio TV Film became sidelined by “real world” opportunities, but the desire to perform continued to crop up throughout other career ventures in education and management. Classroom radio drama productions, amateur audiobook narrations, local sports announcing, and eventual podcast hosting consumed my sideline interests.
Then C-19 hit, and my professional education career became the sidelined element, and I was free to pursue voice talent work as a full-time focus. And the timing couldn’t have been better. As a man now in his 50s, my voice — and my attention to detail — had matured. I could now perform in a range between mid 30s and 60s, push the boundaries of dialect a bit, and enjoy the content for more than just an income.
My initial portfolio provided in the link below currently consists of audition reels and minor personal production clips.
